The shutdown of Eldorado, the only mine, and major employer (80%) came as a shock to the workers shortly before 11.00 a.m. one morning. The 11.00 news took the story nationwide. It maked the end of some 30 years of Uranium mining in the area. Posted by Hello

Note: We had just moved to Manitoba and had been at Winnipeg Theological Seminary for just a few months when we heard the news. For us, God's timing was perfedt. For a lot of people, it meant a lot of unexpected and sometimes difficult changes. At the time other mining jobs anywhere in Canada were scarce.

Once again, a reminder that God's timing is always perfect!

Its sad when change comes in such difficult ways.Apparently the Lord's timing of it was good for you.Not so good for others.Mine work brought in paychecks to put food on the family tables.
