Our Temporary Home
This is the trailer down the street that will be out home for the summer. It was a guys residence up until now. It was moved here for that purpose about seven years ago.
It did not feel like home until we got our "stuff" in it and the living room and dining area set up. Then the empty double wide did not seem like home ay more. We also put about a quarter of our stuff in storage in a building that the Bible college has.
The next day I had a hard time finding things. I said to myself: "We finally have a house but we cannot live in it. And we have all this stuff but we can't find it!" It makes me appreciate what we do have (and can find). And it also causes me to reflect on where our real home and our real treasures are. "Even so, come Lord Jesus!"

I know a bit about how you feel in your temporary quarters, with some of your stuff, and knowing that you're just not quite at home. And, that is truly the cry of my heart: "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Please, come soon!)

We just learned tonight from the contractor that we should be able to be out and into our new old home by the end of July. Now that's good news. But not as good as the rapture, and our eternal home awaiting us.
This is good news about being able to settle into your new old home in July.The Lord is good.The boys will get their home back also right?
Yep! It is a major and expensive renovation job! Pry that all goes well.
I'm going to a Men's Retreat here at PRBI this weekend and I also preach on Sunday, about two hours away. So it will be a busy weekend!
